This is the result of my need to ramble (some more) about Kero-chan... => Episode 1: Kero-chan's first appearance. He comes out of The Clow looking very peaceful, and all of a sudden says "KONYANYACHIWAA!!" The whole scene really shows his personality and is probably one of his best. I'd always liked him, but when I re-watched that scene a while ago it made me love him A LOT. => Episode 6: The illusion card makes Sakura think she's seeing her mom, and she ends up almost getting hurt. The next day, Kero-chan brings her a flower looking very sad and cute and tells her that even though he asked her to seal the cards, he doesn't want her to get hurt or sad because of it. Sakura is very touched by what he says, so she grabs him to squish him in a big hug. => Episode 8: Syaoran sees Kero-chan for the first time and immediately says something like "what's this thing?" and calls him a stuffed animal ("nuigurumi"). Kero-chan gets really angry, then really hurt, teary-eyed, and frustrated, and then having nothing to say, he just bites the hell out of Syaoran's finger. => Episode 9 (Kero-chan Ni Omakase): Kero-chan introduces Syaoran's battle outfit. I talk about this in the Kero-chan Ni Omakase section, so I guess I won't summarize it here too. But it's pure gold. => Episode 15: Kero-chan builds his own room in one of Sakura's desk drawers, and you see he's put Polaroids/sticker booth pictures of himself on the wall. => Episode 15: Kero-chan gets drunk from eating too much liquor chocolate after having a fight with Sakura (about her drawer). He "runs away from home" and ends up pouring his little Kero-chan heart out to a big, plastic crocodile. After they make up, Sakura builds Kero-chan a little bed for his room. He starts jumping on it happily until the bed accidentally breaks, which of course gets the fight started again... => Episode 34 (Kero-chan ni Omakase): The very last Kero-chan ni Omakase segment. You see that he's missing from his usual spot and hear someone crying.. then you find that he's crying on the cushion where he usually sits because they're ending the segment he loves so much. => Episode 45: Sakura captures The Earthy, the last Clow Card, and Kero-chan is finally able to transform into "Kerberos." Sakura gets a bit sad and hugs him, telling him he doesn't seem like Kero-chan. He's also sort of moved by the whole thing and apologizes for not having been able to return to his true form sooner to help her more. But Sakura immediately tells him that he always helps her and she couldn't have done it without him. This is a pretty bad description, but the whole scene is just sweet and it's one of the few times they talk so sincerely. => Episode 56: Kero-chan meets Suppi for the first time. During the whole scene, Kero-chan's just so friendly while missing the point completely (the point being that Suppi knows who he is, and that Suppi is his counterpart). I love when he's laughing and spinning on his toe while he proudly introduces himself, while Suppi's just extremely annoyed and probably amazed at Kero-chan's denseness. I also love the part when Kero learns Suppi's "name" and then just laughs and laughs for a while ("SUPPI?! Hen ya na!! Ahahaha.. SUPPI!!"). There are clips of this in the sounds section. => Suteki desu wa, Sakura-chan! Tomoyo no Cardcaptor Sakura Katsuyaku Video Nikki 1 / Tomoyo's CCS Video Diary 1: This one comes from a little "omake." Kero-chan keeps imitating Yukito's voice while Sakura daydreams about him… First you see him talking as Yukito, making Sakura think he's talking to her ("ganbatte ne, Sakura-chan"). She blushes and answers back all starry eyed ("Haaaai, ganbarimaasu!"). But once she sees it's actually Kero-chan, she of course gets really mad. The second time he's encouraging her with Yukito's voice while holding a life-size cardboard cutout of him. ^_^; It seems Aya Hisakawa does a great job imitating Yukito's voice... I even tried to find Megumi Ogata's (Yukito's seiyuu) name in the credits. ======================================= I looked up some of the episode numbers at Rabi's CCS Page. |
